Gearbox Reconditioning
Gloucester Road Gearboxes recondition more than 1,000 different types of petrol, diesel, manual and automatic differentials and axles, from Audi to Volvo and most models in between.
Upon approval, the old gearbox is completely dismantled back to its component parts. Each item is inspected and graded according to make and model.
GRGB sets out specialist production lines by type. This method is cost effective and assures a standard of quality control that cannot be achieved by small run rebuilding.
All internal parts are checked and tested six times during production.
- The internal parts that are subject to ‘wear and tear’ are replaced with new ones. The list of items is extensive and includes gaskets, filters, seals, bushes, bearings and any other soft materials.
- Any new technical developments are immediately integrated into the production line. The attention to detail assures every gearbox is in perfect condition and to factory specification.
- All transmissions are fully tested by a specialist, who records the products’ performance. Only when this exacting procedure has been carried out do we give our 12 months, 12,000 mileage warranty.
- We continually strive to offer the finest quality products available. We receive regular orders from our customers, and our reputation grows each time we build a gearbox.
